From humble beginnings in Box Hill North, we are now a multiple site award winning industry leader having forged strong relationships with many insurance companies and vehicle manufacturers along the way. We are a recommended repairer for AAMI, GIO, APIA, Bingle, Suncorp, Shannons, Vero and Adica. We are also a Tesla Approved Collision Centre (TACC). Proudly independent, our passion and enthusiasm to always strive for bigger and better without compromising on quality has earnt DSI a reputation which is second to none.

OUR HISTORY
After working within the Smash Repair industry for almost 20 years, Don Lacobucci along with his wife Silvana decided to ‘bite the bullet’ and venture out into their own business – thus in August, DSI Panels was born.

DSI relocated to 10 Terracotta Drive, a turning point for the company. We have continued to grow in size, staff levels and footprint at this location and our presence in the area remains strong.

David & Clarissa decided to set up a 2nd location, purchasing the factory at 28 Research Drive, Croydon South – and so the long hours began. Mid 2018 saw staff levels swell to 18 at Blackburn in preparation for the launch of DSI Panels Croydon.

[February] DSI Panels Croydon officially opened its doors in a purpose built, fully equipped 1000m2 building. Some employees transitioned from Blackburn with staff levels growing to over 30 combined.

[June] DSI, through their commitment to training, were awarded the i-Car Gold Class facility accreditation – a status they continue to maintain to this day.

[November] DSI Panels Croydon received the prestigious ‘’Best New Shop VIC” award through Paint & Panel Magazine and Clarissa was awarded “Best Owner/ Manager” at the Women in Collision awards.

[March] Despite the effects of the pandemic, DSI continues to grow. At the beginning of 2022, a fourth factory was purchased on Terracotta Drive with plans for another major renovation and fitout well under way!

[July] Our third site was formed with the purchase of
Montrose Panel Beating (Lilydale). Re-branding is complete and
DSI Panels Lilydale is open for trading. With this additional location
we now employ 50 staff and counting...

DSI Panels has a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and our efforts to decrease and eliminate environmental impacts stretch beyond our legal responsibilities.
To ensure our environmental footprint is minimized, we:
- Use environmentally safe water borne paint and low VOC clears
- Have installed solar panels to keep coal energy usage to a minimum
- Use accredited waste disposal and recycle contractors
- Collect rain water for use within our workshops
- Use a triple interceptor to ensure no hazardous chemicals enter the waterways, and
- Manage environmental risks via best practice and utilizing leading technologies
Through our efforts, DSI were awarded the highest level Green Stamp accreditation by VACC.
